Analysis of the bacterial microbiota present in the intestine or intestinal dysbiosis. The intestinal microbiota is the community of living microorganisms that inhabit our intestine and perform vital functions such as nutrition and metabolism, protective and trophic functions. This analysis is done using a Stool sample to determine if there is an imbalance in the microbiota (dysbiosis). A dysbiosis can cause certain metabolic functions to not be carried out or an opportunistic pathogen to proliferate when there is no other bacterium to prevent it.

Among the causes that can cause dysbiosis are:

Hormones and birth control pills.

What does it analyze?

The analysis determines all the bacterial genera present in the individual's digestive microbiome by ultrasequencing of 16S rRNA (16S ribosomal RNA). Subsequently, it is compared with the rest of the healthy microbiome sequenced to date, through a bioinformatic analysis comparative.

The most relevant bacterial species and their effect are reported.
